I’m an American born Indian, 28 years old girl. Our America lifestyle is better. Your daughter can have more fun and freedom in America. In India, after she grew, she have to live with their parents until marriage (really sucks & idiotic india ways), BUT here in America she can “choose” to leave her parents to live separately with any guys she love. If she grew-up here and learn american culture, she can have freedom to have more of friends, freedom of open-relationship with anyone, freedom of night entertainment and night activity here which india people wasted and banned. Freedom to divorce if she dislike their relationship with mutual understanding, but she cannot learn this / do this in india. I divorced twice because my ex-husband is useless. Luckily i’m in America, but I cannot do this in India. India law is always sucks. We have freedom at night bar and get hooked-up with more guys. America is cool. Here, she also will learn the truth of india belief which praying to so-called nature, animals, plants and stones. Please teach your daughter, the truth is only Jesus and his Cross Stone. Jesus never dies, this is why drink blood mary in church. I choose to leave my parents and stay with my boyfriend after i’m major, but i cannot do this in India. My dad and my mom are Hindu, they sometimes stupid and old fool going to temples, everytime force me to follow hindu culture. Think wise, America freedom lifestyle is better than your idiotic india believing super natural and sympathy to parents.

Think this is an article published by somebody who is extremely unhappy with changes happening in India, is very critical of India and probably has never lived abroad. I am not saying all of it is incorrect, but it is very much biased and supporting those who blame India and think developed world is much better. A balanced view would have been appreciated.

Brilliant conversation,Sir! The glorious indian family system is an extinct thing now a days. It’s high time we all wake up from the western drug injected system and get back to our roots for a dharmic living in each step of our lives. Thanks again for a thought stimulating article.
